Three die in Russian Tupolev accident

Three people were killed and 46 others wounded Saturday, 1st January after a fire and subsequent explosion of a Tupolev airplane on the tarmac of an airport in northern Russia. The Kolavia Tupolev-154 with 116 passengers and eight crew members on board, started to burn while taxiing on the runway of Surgut airport (in the north-east of the Urals) just before flying to Moscow, said a committee of investigative prosecutors. They added that the emergency services were unable to extinguish the fire and there was an explosion but the passengers and crew were evacuated beforehand. --- This clip is the first video taken of the accident
