Montgomery County Maryland police release video of a chase and crash that started in the Bethesda district along Grubb Road and ended up near the Talbot Road Bridge.SUV Backed Into Officerapos;s Car After Chase 3 Teens Taken Into Custody ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Police in Rockville released video Wednesday of a vehicle chase and said the pursuit ended when a 17-year-old driver backed a Ford Escape onto the top of an officerapos;s car. The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday when officers pursued the SUV, which police learned was stolen during an armed carjacking in Prince Georgeapos;s County earlier in the day. During the pursuit, the SUV approached a one-lane bridge neat Talbot Street and was blocked from crossing the bridge as a taxi was approaching from the opposite direction, police said. Rockville authorities said the SUV backed into an officerapos;s car and onto the hood and roof before it rolled off. A number of assisting officers arrived and placed the three occupants of the Escape under arrest. The driver was identified as Desean Anthony Kavanaugh, 17, of Washington, D.C. He was arrested and charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree assault, malicious destruction of property over $500 and drug charges. He was placed under a $750,000 bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center. Two other teens in the vehicle, ages 17 and 15, were also taken into custody.
