Suspected underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab caught on Al Qaeda training video

The Nigerian suspected of trying to blow up an airliner with explosives concealed in his underwear was featured in a terrorist training video. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is seen in a video aired by ABC News that shows the 23-year-old shooting an automatic weapon, along with several others. A U.S. intelligence official said Monday that the preliminary judgment is that the video does show Abdulmutallab and the footage is consistent with the understanding that he was in training. It isnapos;t clear where and when the video was made. Abdulmutallab is accused of trying to use a bomb hidden in his underwear to bring down a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day. The explosives failed, though they burned Abdulmutallab, who was arrested. He has been cooperating with investigators.
