Surveillance video shows attack on Forsyth Co. courthouse

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance footage from the shooting incident that left a gunman dead and a deputy injured. On June 6, Dennis Marx drove up to the courthouse and set off smoke bombs at the entrance of the courthouse. Sheriff Duane Piper told Channel 2 Action News evidence at Marx's home indicated a planned attack, with pipe bombs and other explosives found inside his home. "The only way I can describe it is in a frontal assault on our court house," Piper said.
