Man Curses Judge and gets 364 Days in Jail for ContemptA domestic violence suspect will be spending nearly a year behind bars in Broward for cursing at a judge who denied him pre-trial release from jail. Christopher Burgor Colon, 27, was in bond court Thursday morning for what is typically a routine first appearance on case related to a domestic violence charge. Colon was accused of twice-violating a court injunction and a battery causing great bodily harm. Judge John "Jay" Hurley set bond at $125,000 for each of the two violations but denied bond on the battery charge. That's when Colon started cursing at the judge. Colon's profane-laced rant lasted for several minutes before Hurley declared him in contempt of court and sentenced him to 364 days in jail. Coon later apologized, and the sentence was reduced to time served. However, based on the original denial of bail on other charges, Colon remains behind bars. Video Credit Sun Sentinel
