Floundering Iceberg 2014Footage of a floundering iceberg. Filmed in the heart of Iceberg Alley; in Sou'West, near Croque, along the French Shore, on the Northern Peninsula, Newfoundland and Labrador. Each year thousands of icebergs venture south past Newfoundland and Labrador. The majority (~90%) of icebergs in the region are calved glaciers from western Greenland (Denmark). The remainder are calved glaciers from islands in Canada's High Arctic. This ancient ice dates back 10,000+ years, and is one of the purest sources of freshwater.
