UK: This camel makes a great drinking buddy

Eleven-year-old Russian camel Jeffrey spent part of his Friday in the Yorkshire town of Sutton-on-the-Forest much as he does many days: drinking beer with co-owner Simon Grant. Jeffrey, who was bought as a birthday present by Simon and Elizabeth Grant for their teenage son Tom seven years ago, isn't picky about the brand of beer that his owner adds to his selection of carrots. Grant says that for every pint Jeffrey has, he drinks one with him. Jeffrey, who originally came from Holland, is quite friendly with people, according to Grant. He adds that Jeffrey may be the UK's only true pet camel, as others are kept at zoos and tourist attractions.
