Anatomy of a burmese python - not for the squeamish

The University of Florida provided scientific support for the 2013 Python Challenge. Each Burmese python collected was brought to their lab where a necropsy was performed. The python challenge was a contest in which competitors trekked through more than a million acres of swamps and sawgrass in search of the well-camouflaged Burmese python. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that a relative few 68 Burmese pythons were harvested during the competition.
